Home Language International (HLI) is a family-run business offering language courses in more than 20 languages in over 30 countries worldwide, including English lessons at an experienced private teacher's home in UK. More than 5,000 students take advantage of our services every year. Ian Josephs, Danielle Josephs, their 5 adult children and an expert team of dedicated staff all put in very long hours for HLI. You stay in an experienced teacher's family home, have one-to-one English lessons and then continue to use the language during the rest of your stay in Newcastle upon Tyne. Because you are the only student, you are guaranteed individual attention. The lessons are completely designed for you, so the teacher will focus exactly on what you need. Mealtime conversation, television and social contacts are all in English. All of our teachers in UK have a university degree (or equivalent) and/or a recognised teaching certificate. All teachers have been visited by one of our local organisers. Their qualifications have been checked and their homes throughly inspected. During your stay in Newcastle upon Tyne, a local organiser will monitor your progress and make sure your experience is both happy and successful. English in Newcastle Ltd. (for EU citizens only)

*Please note - Our school currently only accepts students with EU citizenship, we are not authorized by the UK Government to accept students who need Visas to enter the UK* English in Newcastle is a language school for the 21st century. There is no physical school building and all the lessons take place with a private teacher at a location that is convenient for the teacher and the student. Located in the Northern English city of Newcastle, students can mix their English language education with a holiday or sightseeing around the wonderful city of Newcastle or even sample the surrounding countryside in Northumberland. There are no groups at English in Newcastle, all the learning is face to face with a private teacher, the classes are 1 to 1. However, students who want to get together with friends or family can take classes together with their teacher in a small 'closed-group'. This method of learning represents excellent value for money and enables students to make much quicker progress with their language as the lessons are completely focused on the needs of the student in the lesson. English in Newcastle offers intensive courses where students can study every day or less intensive courses where students study a few hours a week. The number of hours per week spent on the course are completely the choice of the student and can be decided in advance of arriving in Newcastle. Our teachers can also travel to the nearby cities of Durham and Sunderland to take classes if students are located in these cities.
