The programme is based at our friendly and well-equipped school in the heart of downtown, just one block from the university campus and close to the eclectic shops and cafes of Telegraph Avenue. For older juniors (12–17 years) the course combines English tuition in the mornings with fun activities and excursions in the afternoons. For younger juniors (6–11 years) we offer morning English classes in mixed ability classes. • 20 lessons per week • Elementary to Advanced levels • Afternoon activities/weekly excursions • Full board homestay accommodation in shared room • Students aged 6–11 can only study with parents or guardians as part of the Family Programme • 12 year olds are only accepted in a chaperoned group or if accompanied by their parents • Max. 16 students per class Featuring: • Modern classrooms with projectors • Student kitchen and lunchroom • Computer lounge with WiFi • Nearby shops and cafes

Our Oakland location is AAE's auxiliary classrooms in the East Bay (12 miles east of San Francisco). Our outstanding faculty extends their reach across the bay in our media-enhanced classrooms. A few minutes' walk from Lake Merritt, the Academy is within easy reach of downtown or Chinatown, which are also only a few blocks away. This site is also within close proximity to BART, which makes this a convenient location for students living across the Bay from San Francisco.
