inlingua Verona organizes Italian language and Italian culture courses throughout the year. For 20 years we have been organizing Study Abroad Programs for American Universities such as Colby College, University of California, University of Georgia and Bradley University. Our method is based on direct communication. We teach students in a way that directly accesses the
target language at hand instead of filtering it through another language. The inlingua method of teaching languages is the result of decades of practical experience. We know for certain that the method works because we can look back on years of its successful implementation. The primary aim of the inlingua method is to enable the learner to communicate as competently as possible in the foreign language.
Our teachers are trained in the inlingua method, motivated and interesting. They involve students and
continuously keep their level of attention high. They are university graduates, native speakers and are
competent in both traditional teaching methods and more modern didactic approaches. They use a variety of techniques, ranging from role play and rhythmic exercises to games and quizzes.
The school was founded in 2002 and is located in the historical centre of Verona, surrounded by all its most important monuments. In 2000 the whole town was listed as a World Heritage site by the UNESCO and therefore studying Italian in Verona means getting to know a cultural and artistic heritage that is recognized at a worldwide level. The school premises are in the Volpini-Jenna Palace, an ancient noble building, which is considered one of the most beautiful buildings in Verona. The interior was recently renovated in order to offer students an inviting modern and functional environment, equipped with air conditioning and free Wi-Fi Internet access in all rooms. LINGUA IT offers Intensive Language Courses at all levels plus a variety of weekly guided tours, cultural and leisure activities. The small size of the school allows the entire staff, from secretary to teachers, to follow each student's entire stay, devoting a level of personal attention that goes beyond basic teaching, making everybody feel at home.

You stay in an experienced teacher's family home, have one-to-one Italian lessons and then continue to use the language during the rest of your stay in Verona. Because you are the only student, you are guaranteed individual attention. The lessons are completely designed for you, so the teacher will focus exactly on what you need. Mealtime conversation, television and social contacts are all in Italian.
All of our teachers in Italy have a university degree (or equivalent) and/or a recognised teaching certificate. All teachers have been visited by one of our local organisers. Their qualifications have been checked and their homes throughly inspected. The Idea Verona Study Centre is the first school of Italian language and culture born in the magical city of Romeo and Juliet.
Our teachers are all qualified, experienced and constantly updated on methodologies for teaching Italian L2. All come from diverse training backgrounds and professional experiences to ensure the group's continuous enrichment and allow the school to offer a vast educational opportunity.

The school was born in Verona to firstly meet the demand of tour operators who wanted to master the secrets of the province and learn the Italian language in order to carry out their work in the Veneto region.
