We chose the name "Levant" because it encompasses the intercultural vision of the Center. Levant is an English word that refers to the region of the Arab world in which Jordan is situated. The Levant, Bilad al-Sham, or Bilad al-Sharq encompasses Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and parts of Iraq. We distinguish ourselves through our flexibility and our ability to provide numerous teaching, training, and consulting services at a superior level. We offer virtual education and face-to-face instruction. In both formats, we apply our unique, time-tested method for elevating our students' communicative competencies. Through focused, dedicated study with Levant, you will not simply recite words on a vocabulary list or verb conjugations; more than that, your tongue will master the rich, culturally-connected phrases of fluent speakers, phrases that you will carry with you wherever you go.

Modern Language Center

The Modern Language Center (MLC) has a long-standing tradition of commitment to providing high quality education to every student. Our Arabic language program strives to provide comprehensive language skills to non-native Arabic speakers and ultimately prepare students to pass Oral Proficiency Interviews (OPI). Besides, various levels of primary, intermediate and advanced English, Turkish and German are being taught at MLC, the first center of its kind in Jordan. It is noteworthy that over the years the Center has been accredited with continued success and integrity since its establishment in 1970.

Sabeel Institute

Sabeel Arabic Language Institute for non-Native Speakers aims on teaching students classical Arabic, modern Arabic, and colloquial Arabic so their language becomes close to being a native-speaker like. The institute employs the most modern methods, strategies and theories for teaching a second language. Thus, e-learning is used as one of the basic ways for teaching and learning. Also, in order to help students live with the language and to avoid using their native one, immersion programmes are prepared and the use of translation is avoided. The institute always works on finding and producing the best and most modern curricula, which are compatible with their future vision and strategies, are used in teaching Arabic for non-natives the four language skills. One of the institute’s main goals is attracting skilled teachers who are specialized in teaching Arabic as a second language. Therefore, the institute always works on training the teachers; giving them the feedback they need to improve their teaching and provides them with all what’s needed to improve the teaching process. Sabeel institute helps his students in renewing their VISAS and to make sure of the process by contacting the special authorities in Jordan.
